We appreciate now, more than ever, that you’re considering to stay with us during this difficult time in the world. We can assure you that you are making the right choice. Per the Governor of Michigan’s executive orders, a few things have changed in the way that we are allowed to serve you but we hope that does not alter your experience. We have listed these changes below but please know you can reach out to us with any questions or special requests. For whatever reason you travel today, we want you to know we are here for you.

Here are some of the actions we are taking:

  • Check-in: We designed our hotel since the beginning to offer a contact-less, more inviting check-in. Your confirmation emails include our policies, terms and conditions which you acknowledge you understand upon check-in. These are also listed on our website for further reference. 
  • Cleanliness: Every square inch of the rooms are disinfected and refreshed. We have confirmed that our disinfection chemicals and methods are the best available for fighting viruses including the Coronavirus. If you have any hesitation, we are happy to provide you with sanitizing wipes, disposable cups or silverware, individually wrapped toiletries, or anything else you may request. Our common areas are sanitized between every guest, as they always have been. 
  • Precautions: We’ve removed the Michigan Made snacks and Keweenaw Playing Cards for sale from your rooms. The price list still exists, and everything is still available for purchase so if you desire – please call the front desk to let them know what you would like and they will bring it to you. The staff will ask upon check-in if you would like housekeeping services during your stay – please utilize your door hanger to help communicate your comfort level with this. 
  • Breakfast: We are limited by governor’s orders in what we can provide for in-house dining during this time. In place of this, we have some individually packaged items complimentary to you if needed: oatmeal cups, granola bars, yogurt, orange juice, and more. Our quiche, muffins and bagels are available with assistance from our staff.
  • Pantry: We still have the complimentary items in our pantry available such as soda, water, sparkling water, and chips. The pantry is continually disinfected and restocked.
  • Team members: Our team members are properly trained in sanitation, hand washing, using gloves when necessary, and are doing their best to make sure you are comfortable. We have put in a place a strict policy where we are monitoring that none of our staff are experiencing symptoms of illness. 
  • Security: We have the entrances to the building locked 24/7 and unavailable to the public. If at any time you do not have your key to let you in, there is a phone in the vestibule that automatically rings the staff (that is sanitized) or you can call the hotel phone number and that will ring the staff as well to let you in. 
  • HVAC: Our brand new state-of-the-art HVAC system is able to individually climate control each room for your comfort – additionally, the system does not exchange air between rooms but rather between the fresh outdoors instead. 

We hope we have given you the confidence to feel comfortable staying with us and we hope we can still provide you with a good experience even though we required to make some changes in our interactions with you. In all, we really hope to see you back in the future on less awkward terms.
